Yankee Candle Fundraising

Remember receiving those large packets in homebase for selling Yankee Candles? Are you wondering how our school did and some other important information? I think you might be, because I know I was until just recently. Read on to find out some important information regarding the Yankee Candle Orders.
Maple Avenue did a great job raising some money for the Maple Avenue Parent Network. What is that you might ask? The Maple Avenue Parent Network, is what helps put on different school activities and events. For example, this year, they are helping host Maplefest! So many of the fundraisers that we are having this year, will be hosted by MAPN, and all the money we raise, will go to them as well!
Anyway, now on to the talk about the Yankee Candles. Our school raises a total of $7,270.00. That’s awesome right? That’s from both catalog and online orders!
This year we had 131 people order from catalogs and 27 people ordered online. Now I know you might not like math, but that about 7% of students participated. (131 out of about 1700 students) But I will bet you others participated in the Ring Fundraiser and that’s perfectly okay! More math. Between 158 students we raised over $7,000.000. Special shout out to Randi Senecal who sold over $700.00 worth of products. That raised $281.00 for our school. So if you see Randi, make sure to thank him! Now time to use your brains, and I know you may not like to do that either. Imagine if we had 300 students participate? Or 1,000? We would raise a lot more money, which would make it possible to do more things during the school year! All of the fundraising that is done, directly supports all of the programs and opportunities at Maple Avenue. The biggest one being Maplefest! Imagine all of the cool stuff you guys could have if we raised even more money next year!
Now maybe you are wondering what if I didn’t have time to sell Yankee Candles, or I forgot. Well that’s okay, because you can still do some online shopping at the link below, and it is awesome because shopping online is open until the 2nd week of January and our school gets 40% of the sales.
