Congrats to November's Students of the Month!

November- Gratitude

The students of the month for November were chosen based on the characteristic of GRATITUDE. All of these students not only show gratitude to the teachers and staff in the building but, most importantly, to their peers and community as well.

Team 6E:

​

Maeve Hamiliton-Jones:  Maeve is always smiling.  She is nice to everyone on our team.  She shows gratitude toward her teachers and her peers.

 

Liam Law: Liam is a delightful student who is kind to everyone on our team.  He thanks his teachers after every class.  We are grateful to have him on our team.  

 

Team 7E:

​

Claire Johnson:  Claire’s gratitude is noted by all those around her.  Whether she is genuinely thanking her teachers at the end of class, complimenting people in the halls, or expressing her thanks for the help and support of her peers, Claire reminds those around her that we have a lot to be thankful for.

​

Caleb Yuhasz: Caleb’s gratitude positively influences his classmates.  His gratitude comes through in his very thoughtful responses to class discussion questions and we are grateful to have him as part of our team!

 

Team 8E:

​

Aja Lipkin: Aja demonstrates gratitude on a daily basis through her interactions with her peers, teachers, and staff members.  She shows her appreciation through her sincere kindness, excellent eye contact, and verbal “thank yous” in the classroom and in the hallways.  We applaud and value her grateful heart!

​

Zi’Yair White: Zi’Yair has been a pleasure to have in class and has been seeking extra help in recent weeks.  He has been extremely grateful for the help of peers and his teachers.  He is easy to work with and his gratitude makes the entire process easier on everyone. 

​

Team 6R:

​

Nathan Welmaker: Nathan always does little, yet thoughtful thinks like saying thank you and helping others.  He always has a great attitude. 

​

Yudely Tineo Gonzalez: Yudely is always going out of her way to say thank you to her teachers.  She talks about how grateful she is for the life that she lives here in Saratoga.  Yudely is grateful every day for all that she has and she takes nothing for granted.

​

Team 7R:

​

Viviana Nicastro: Viviana is a kind, generous young lady.  She is grateful for all she has and is willing to help others who are less fortunate. 

​

Matt Fabian: Matt is grateful for the adults in his life and appreciates their involvement in his education.

​

Team 8R:

​

Lenise Caney:  Lenise has consistently demonstrates gratitude as a student and friend to her peers.  Appreciative, friendly, and kind, Lenise leads by example – we should strive to follow in her footsteps.

​

Cody Herald: Cody comes to school each day with a smile, a greeting, and a story.  He clearly values his friends, teachers, and the Maple Avenue community.  He is a constant source of cheer for Red Spring.  

 

Team 6H:

​

Sven Jacksland: Sven thanks his teachers every day, making it a point to seek them out.

 

Parker Wilcox: Parker is appreciative of any help his teachers give him.  He always says thank you before he leaves class.

 

Team 7H:

​

Samantha Spiak: Sami consistently expresses her gratitude to her teachers at the end of each and every class.  She always brings an excellent attitude and work ethic to class.

​

Alex Lansford: Alex is receptive and gracious when receiving feedback about his work.  He is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that his work is the best of his ability.

 

Team 8H:

​

Celia Mangino: Celia expresses gratitude on a daily basis.  She is always smiling and showing her appreciation of those around her.  She makes an effort to acknowledge and thank her classmates. 

 

Azlyn Belisle: Azlyn shows her appreciation every day to her teachers.  She created the idea of sending letters of gratitude to those men and women who helped to keep the building safe during the lock out situation. 

                     

Team 6C:

​

Liam Dagastino: When we went on our bowling field trip, Liam made a point of coming to the teacher who had coordinated the day to say thank you for taking the students on the trip. He thanks his teachers when he is leaving the classroom every single day.

​

Phoebe Tracey: Phoebe works hard during the day and school sometimes is a real struggle for her, but she always thanks her teachers whenever they help her. She seeks out extra help in math and is always so appreciative of the teacher’s time and attention.

​

Team 7C:

​

Alexander El’Okby:  shows gratitude by doing his best and participating in class.  His eagerness to learn shows that he values what is teachers are doing in the classroom.

​

Sofia Anzaroot: shows gratitude by going out of her way to thank her peers and the adults in the building.  She is an eager learner and is appreciative of every new challenge.

​

Team 8C:

​

Gesus Manuel: Gee was new to our district his fall and came in with an open mind.  He was willing to work hard to make a positive start at Maple from the very beginning.  He shows gratitude for those who have helped him adjust to the Maple community, and we are also grateful that he is on our team.  He is a beacon of positive energy and a great role model to his peers.  Maple Ave and 8C are lucky to have him. 

​

Annalise Marron: Annalise shows gratitude to others in her use of polite words, through her deliberately thoughtful actions, and with her grateful smile that lights up a room.  She encourages others to also be grateful and polite as she models what it means daily, both in and out of the classroom.

​

Peyton Smith: This school year Peyton has shown much maturity and is so grateful for his friends and the adults that work with him.

Since the character trait of the month is Gratitude, each Homebase created an "Empathy Chain" that is now hung by the Students Main Entrance. When you get a chance, go check it out!
