In Mrs. Chase's Home and Career classes- The topic of discussion became the importance of breakfast and your health- Mrs. Chase hade them research its nutritional value and then had them make their own nutritional breakfasts which included cloud eggs-

Cloud eggs is a lab that represents a nutritious breakfast, meeting the 3/5 food group model (eggs=protein, cheese=dairy and bread=grains). First they had to separate the egg whites from the yolks successfully.  Then they had to whip the whites into "clouds" and bake.  Then they add the egg yolks and baked a few minutes more.  Lastly they added their "clouds" to toast with melted cheese.

Student in Home & Careers researched their own under 15-minute breakfast recipes that fit the 3/5 model as well.  They have created Prezi presentations.

I was one of the lucky ones to sample these eggs...and they were so light and fluffy like a "cloud!" Great Job to all students who made them!
